Lois Olney: Live at St Leonards
In a voice rich with humanity, Lois Olney sings of joy, pain, love and longing. With her remarkable but gentle voice, she distils these emotions and gets to the very heart of what it means to be human.Lois was born in her mother's country at Roebourne, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Her father was a Yamatji man from Meekatharra. Her story is of the stolen generation and reconnection to family and culture. For Lois, healing the wounds of stolen generation is a life long journey, but as she shares in her story, "music helps heal the people that I love and the sorrow that we all have in common". Watch her DFoV live performance on
4 SEPTEMBER FROM 7PM.
