A few snippets.....

Fri 7.45-8.15pm Free Festival Opening 12 Voices 3 Countries 1 Heart in the Supa IGA underground car park. Set in a wonderful lamp-lit grey-pillar amphitheatre, featuring songs of Gratitude, Compassion and Love by Lior, Ensemble Aznash and Compagnia Sacco to the backdrop of a powerful specially commissioned visual artwork by Denmark scribal artist Nikki Green.

Fri 8.30pm - Giovanni Consort's Choral Masterworks - see Friday at the Festival tab for more info). Opera now sold out.

Saturday: a tiny taster....

9am - chose from The Big Sing workshop, or Choral Masterworks workshop with the Giovanni Consort, or perhaps take in an early morning concert...

10am - off to hear the sublime Lucy Ridsdale or the desert sounds of Rayella, or still singing your heart out at a workshop?

11am - tough choice: Karrajarri/Yawuru Woman Leanna Shoveller, local Noongar Elder Eugene Eades, hauntingly beautiful Miriam Lieberman Trio....

noon - Chechen and Tushétie Songs with Ensemble Aznash Laaman? Or a concert with Ceriana vocal ensemble Compagnia Sacco? Or off to the pop-up cafe at the Artshouse to hear TedX poet Sukhjit Kaur Khalsa... or does the Green Turtle call?

and so the day goes on - sublime, fun, learning, moving.... concerts all afternoon and evening, workshops till late afternoon, pauses to listen to the moving rendition of Dear Prime Minister - a letter a day written by hand and sent, from the heart of a woman who deeply cares about our sisters and brothers seeking asylum. And listening whilst witnessing the extraordinary new baroque banners hand-painted by the Butter Factory Studio artists in honour of the Judgement of Paris.

Lior opens the evening concert at the Civic Centre, but maybe you're off to hear Madjital Moorna first, or GALSWA at the church, followed by Ensemble Aznash Laaman, Rayella and Charles Maimorosia.....

What we can promise is that you'll be witness to some of the most moving, magical, meaningful music, sound, word, discussion, performance, art and comraderie that you've experienced. It's alchemical. It's fun. It's about our lives together.

see you there!
